I decided to begin a series called "Fresh Paint Fridays", inspired by
Laura Lein-Svencner, who does "Tack Down Tuesdays". This will be an occasional Friday feature, not a regular one. I create, from start to finish (which is not my ordinary modus operandi) a collage/painting on Thursday, and post it on Friday. You see a video of the process, edited so that you aren't watching all afternoon.
For this one I took my inspiration from one of my
4"x4"s. Hope you enjoy the video!

You can purchase the original, or a print here.
Jane, both you and your work continue to amaze me. One of these days I WILL take one of your online classes! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove it, thanks for sharing, and I look forward to seeing more of these!...Anna
ReplyDeleteLove Love love it Jane....
ReplyDeleteYour a Wonderful Inspiration.
The process is so fascinating. I love watching you work. Adding, subduing, taking away.... the clever texturing, and the final 'tweaking'...all have me riveted to the screen. Great work Jane.
ReplyDeleteThis was very interesting. How long did it actually take you to do the painting?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is that music? It's pretty cool!
The painting took most of the afternoon. With a couple of breaks. I rarely work start to finish, but this is my challenge for Fresh Paint Fridays. The music is called "Cyprus" by Jared C. Balogh. Downloaded from a free download music site.
DeleteLoved watching this gorgeous work develop. . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that gorgeous greeny/grey colour that you use?
