We Have A Winner!

Two, actually.  Our winners are Vickie Turner and Sue Marrazzo.  You two get in touch with me with mailing addresses, and I'll get your books out next week. Congratulations!  Hope you enjoy the book.

I love doing these giveaways.  If you have suggestions for giveaways, please let me know.  Do you prefer books, art supplies, which kind of art supplies?  Would you be interested in a giveaway of a piece of my art?  An online class?  Any thoughts you have on future giveaways is much appreciated.

Here is what I've been working on in the studio.  Yes, more of the 9"x12" Drawings On Cheap Paper.
This is a whole group I started with bubblegum pink and purple, colors I don't ordinarily use.

Of course, I paint over a lot of the too-sweet colors, and get in some neutrals and clashing colors.

This and the next are just a couple that have developed into finished pieces.

Another thing I'm working on in the studio is cataloging all of these drawings and other works on paper - including lots of the big fat art pieces - in preparation for opening an online gallery from which I can offer my original work for sale.  Currently it is available as prints from Fine Art America, and it will continue to be so after I open the gallery.  Hope to have it up before the end of the year.

  1. Woohoo! Thank you, Jane! I don't often win (I figure winning The Arctic Fox - aka my husband, was the Big Win ;) I'm really looking forward to this book! It will be a good way to ease into painting again. I appreciate your commitment to those who follow your blog and your enthusiasm for and delight in the creative process. So glad you share with us!

  6. A HUGE congratulations to the lucky winners. I love your giveaways too Jane. For International fans online class giveaways are great....or a small piece of your work on paper should not be too expensive to post.

    1. Just found out the other day that our post office is NO LONGER UNDER THREAT OF IMMEDIATE CLOSURE!!!!! We have a new post mistress, the hours are cut back to four per day, but it is remaining open for the forseeable future. Must to a post on this. Thanks for the reminder.

    2. I too was going to ask about the post office....and deli wrap :) How are you set with deli wrap, Jane? I went over to Sam's the other day, and bought two packages...500 sheets each. I'd be willing to drive the extra 20 minutes to Rupert the next time I go to the Burger Den on Route 22 and share one of the boxes with you.

I have had some spam comments lately, advertising of stupid stuff. So I am moderating comments until I can figure out a better way to prevent spam. THANKS!
