New Stripes

I have been playing around with colors and lines on cheap paper. Looks like I'm still gravitating towards stripes, though that was not the intention. I love this paper - I use it for lifting paint, making collage papers, covering my work table (and then save those pieces for collage), and more.

Here are some examples of the stripes:

  1. I really like these Jane! I'd love to see more about how you work with this paper! Has me curious about how the paint is worked into.

  2. These pieces have so much energy and verve-- thumb's way up!

  3. These are lovely! Please can you let me know what type of paper you use. Thank you!

  4. These are so inspiring, Jane! I've begun to decrease my collection of collage papers by doing stripes and applying what I've learned from your courses and workshops. This has really helped me to understand color, value, saturation, line, contrast, etc. Very low cost, and so much fun!

  5. Really love these. Thanks for sharing. What do you use to make the black marks?

    1. Caran d'Ache Neocolor II crayon, and Lyra non-watersoluble graphite crayon.

I have had some spam comments lately, advertising of stupid stuff. So I am moderating comments until I can figure out a better way to prevent spam. THANKS!
