Great article Jane. I was surprised to find out about your Nova Scotia connection (I live in New Brunswick). I wasn't able to find friend Gloria's webpage - I'd love to see her work.
Okay. So this is just weird ...kismet... serendipity ... whatever you want to call it. (not coincidence though cuz I just don't believe in'em!)Jane, I "discovered" you a week or so ago. Became smitten with your work. A bit of background: I'm a mixed media assemblage artist focusing more on 3d than 2d until this past winter wherein I took an online intuitive painting class from Katie Kendrick. And it's like a whole new world opened up for me. Recently I've been leaning toward abstract (or not wanting "named" things in my work) wherein I "found" you. Am in the midst of your downloadable Extreme Composition class, in fact.Imagine my surprise reading this interview that you are friends with Gloria! (she helped my daughter start a jewelry business when she was 13)And that you originally hailed from Halifax. A crazy small world! :D
REALLY??? How fabulous. I'm going to see Gloria in a couple of weeks. I will tell her I "ran into" you. What is your daughter's name?
Really enjoyed learning these things about you. Had no idea you weren't born and raised on the east coast. You get more and more interesting. And then there is your art, which has fascinated me since I first came across some of it. Thanks for sharing the article.
It's always interesting to know more about you. Your work is an inspiration.
Enjoyed reading your interview, and was chuffed to read that you wanted to visit my little rock, Newfoundland! If you are ever in these parts, I have a guest room you can use as a home base, from which you can explore this slice of paradise...Thanks for all you share so generously!Shine on!Kelley
