As prints, anyway. I've never heard of the category "loft art", but
ART.COM has some of my prints available only as very large pieces with this designation.

This one is sold at 72"x72". THAT IS SIX FEET! |
|
If I were hanging this art, I would find a bigger wall. |
|
Ditto the above. This one and the one above are sold at 54"x72". |
These are all printed on high quality canvas. Because of the size,
some assembly is required. Much of my work is available as prints from
Fine Art America, all in various sizes. Though it is certainly special to own original art, it is a commitment you are not always willing or able to make. Buying good quality prints is an affordable alternative, and for me it's fun to see my work in various materials and sizes. All of the above original works are done on paper, and at sizes much smaller than this "Loft Art". Fun!
Great art, BIG or small. Love your style.
ReplyDeleteThey look AMAZING!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll 3 pieces make a fabulous statement in a large size!
ReplyDeleteI agree, large wall and a place where you can stand back to admire. They are wonderful and need a spot where one can stand and take each inch in. Wish I had a large wall.
ReplyDeleteJo's right, they look amazing at this large size which is the only way most people could afford Big Art. I'm thinking that it's called loft art because lofts have such gigantic walls that even groupings of small works would be way out of proportion. It's all about balance.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right. Which is why it's kind of funny that they show the art crammed into a space not nearly big enough.
DeleteI'm thinking they're trying to appeal to those of us who do not live in a loft.....but the cramped space is a turn off. (Not the art, of course, it's gorgeous).
DeleteWow, SO COOL, congratulations Jane. What a thrill to see your work in large size. They are "huge" and I agree that a couple of them need larger walls. :-)
ReplyDeletewell, that truly IS big work !
ReplyDeletelooks great
They look amazing - love love love your work. I would love to see the process of making the large print from the smaller original.
ReplyDeleteWow! What resolution size did you take the photos at?
ReplyDeleteThe print publisher does the photograph or scan.
