  1. Wow Wow Wow this is sooo cool. I hope it makes the postal bosses think twice about closing post offices. Our own postal company is doing the same thing in New Zealand. So we MUST keep posting things to make them realise we need the service to stay.

  2. Yes!! And I agree completely that cuts should be at the top where they can actually save some money.

  3. Awesome report! It was fun to see your studio in the report as well as see the post mistress. Maybe you will finally get the card from North Dakota!

    1. I MADE A MISTAKE: it's South Dakota I haven't heard from. I did get a card from Terri Stegmiller, from North Dakota. I knew it was one of the Dakotas and got it wrong. I did send her a card back asking if she had any pals in SD who could send one. The other state I'm not so sure about is Wyoming. But I'm pretty sure every other state is represented, not to mention most of the continents.

Two from Sinapore, four from Japan, one form Malaysia, loads from Down Under, Europe (even Slovenia!), and Canada. A couple from Brazil, one from Guatemala. We talked about this in the interview, but it got cut. Oh well. I thought they did a great job on this piece.

    1. We ordered a sunny day, but The Weather was unable to meet our request. It do go so far as to avoid the total ice/sleet/dangerous mess that it had planned. So out request was met half-way.

  6. That's so cool! You hear the number 1,200 and know it's a lot, but to SEE the bins full of postcards all over the table.... WOW! Great video. I'm putting my 2nd monthly postcard in the mail today! :)

  9. That's wonderful Jane! I endorse your views that such budget cuts should begin at the executive level. There's lots of money wasted there.

  14. It's a very snowy early March Sunday here in southern Alberta and I finally had a chance to sit down and catch up on the Post office project. What a great bunch of post cards. It must have been so much fun to open the mail every day. I'm honoured to be included and really enjoyed going through all the photos. congratulations Jane. I hope your post office survives.

  17. Hi Jane,
Just discovered your blog and the situation with the post office! I love your art and collage and just had to get going to produce a little something for you from the UK. So I have posted it in my postbox here, just outside of London UK, and I hope it makes it way to you soon! Hope you like the envelope!

    What a great news bulletin!

  18. Incredible. It's been happening here in the UK too -- post office after post office closing -- our communities going down ... so that we end up isolated and living in a clinical mall world! Well done Jane for being so pro-active.
